A Fall Tablescape at White Oaks Ranch
Last Fall, we had a beautiful time dining outside with friends to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The weather was amazing and the table was covered in so many of his favorite things, including vintage wild turkey decanters collected over the years, mason jar cocktail napkins, bandana napkins and place cards that I hand painted based off of one of my favorite photographs of him playing polo.
We tied the place cards to heavy horseshoes so that they wouldn’t blow away. The horseshoes were also meant as party favors for the guests.
Cocktail hour took place in the green house while our guests also played bocce ball. Vintage Polo Cocktail Napkins were a nod to the birthday boys former favorite sport.
We all just adore this big oak tree and I couldn’t believe the snaps that my iPhone camera was getting of it that day!
Flowers by Bows & Arrows took center stage on the table. Doing florals for a table where a man is the guest of honor can be tricky but they did a wonderful job!

The pavilion was built for large parties but I love intimate dinners in front of the roaring fireplace just as much.
I painted a water color image of Justin playing polo based on one of my favorite photographs of him and scanned it. Once it was digitized, I was able to print it on small cards to use as place cards.
I love every single detail of this table!
