Keeping Boredom At Bay

Like the rest of world, we are spending all of our time at home right now.  (Click here to take a tour of our house!) We are going on walks, baking, cooking, crafting and watching a tremendous amount of tv and movies!  We have been face-timing and talking to friends but we miss playdates and spring-break fun!  I’ve been working hard to find resources on line and collect ideas from friends to keep the boredom at bay!  I’ve compiled a list of some favorites here but I wonder what you are doing?  Please comment here and share!

So many beautiful photos of floral arrangements in blue and white vases by  the amazing Charlotte Moss.

I was also moved by her take on the travel mind-set in her tete-a-tete essay.

Love the idea of signing up for some cooking classes and the on-line school, Rouxbe, is offering a free 30 day trial without a credit card required.

For the little ones, Raddish is giving away twenty-five thousand free cooking kits!  They are so great and I promise your children will love them as much as Millie does.   They also have a great list of activities at home on their website!

Check out the Speechless Exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art with a digital visit.

This is SERIOUSLY the most fun easy Easter Egg Decorating kit that keeps the little ones busy on their own! We have been enjoying ours for three years and it is awesome!

We take our cocktail game very seriously at home and now more than ever!  I am so impressed with the clarity of the extra large ice cubes that this special tray makes!

There is something so comforting about a one pot meal.  I love my navy dutch oven but I’ve fallen in love with the color of this one and I’m so close to ordering it for our time at home.

Cute ideas for easy art projects at home and Millie really liked the idea of inventing her own animal!  She made a giraffe/pegasus/bunny type of creature that eats carrots and had a blast drawing it!

I got these amazing cozy slipper/socks as a gift and I adore them!  I can’t think of a better time to get yourself or send your loved ones a cozy surprise!

We are virtually touring Yellowstone National Park together this week!  I’ve never been but now I feel a little bit like I have!

Here is another round-up of our favorite board games.  I’d love to know what you are playing!

This is the pile of books on my nightstand.  I’d love to know what you are reading!
