Tablescape Tuesday: Stunning Shanghai
Now, I have seen, and even created, a lot of tablescapes in my career, but I have never (I mean never never ever!!!) seen a dining room or tablescape like the one at Pearl Lam’s Shanghai home. Justin and I loved Shanghai because the people we met were so fascinating, and we were thrilled to get an invitation to one of Pearl’s infamous dinner parties. The table seats 60, and was designed by Pearl, an art gallery owner, herself. Isn’t it spectacular?
Each of the place mats had a pair of porcelain hands holding a napkin. Amazing, right?
See the dragon candle holders in the center? They were scattered all the way down the center of the table. The detail on them was absolutely incredible. They were created by one of the artists that Pearl represents.
A set of “tree branch” candle sticks were placed down the table as well.
The chopsticks were resting on precious little porcelain babies.
Here is the amazing Pearl!
Pearl and I admiring her table. I love that she has such a passion for people. She loves to entertain and often hosts dinner parties for 60 in her home. Isn’t it incredible?
That is incredible! Looks like y'all had a great trip!
